Kinship Care

The Virtual School's Strategic Role for Kinship Care:

  1. Raise Awareness: Highlight the unique needs and challenges faced by children in various kinship care arrangements.

  2. Support Education: Promote practices that encourage attendance and engagement in education.

  3. Improve Outcomes: Implement strategies to narrow the attainment gap, ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The Virtual School offers advice and information to all kinship carers with Special Guardianship and Child Arrangements Orders as part of our non-statutory role. For assistance, please email barnet.virtualschool@barnet.gov.uk or call 0208 359 4534.
